Driehaus Online Original

d2l-template

The Center for Teaching and Learning has updated a D2L course (the "Driehaus Online Original") that operates as set of templates and default content that can be used in D2L courses. These page templates are easy to deploy, and can create a consistent look and feel across courses in a program, despite differing material and teaching styles.

The course pack also offers sample syllabi, faculty information, and course information pages that will help students get up and running in the course. It includes a set of default icons that can be used in News announcements to get rid of the default waterfall picture and lend better context to communication. And of course, it also comes with CTL support.

You can email helpdesk@depaul.edu to request the Driehaus Online Original.

Camera Use In Zoom

This useful resource (that explores why students switch off theft webcams in Zoom classes) was shared in the Flex training that CTL is providing. Definitely worth a look.

Microsoft Forms

Microsoft Forms is now available at DePaul. You can login with your DePaul credentials here:

https://forms.office.com

Documentation on the tool can be found here.

You can use the tool to create surveys and forms. MIcrosoft Forms does not have the level of complexity that Qualtrics has.
