Adobe Creative Cloud: Student Licenses

There has been a slight change to student licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud at DePaul.

  • Previously, all DePaul students had automatic access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Software (Acrobat DC, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Now, DePaul students have access to install Adobe Creative Cloud on their personal computer if they are enrolled in a DePaul class that requires Adobe Creative Cloud use.

Faculty can request access for the classes that they teach:

Please contact your college office class scheduler to flag your class that require Adobe Creative Cloud, once it is flagged in the class scheduler, DePaul has a process in place to add those students to give them access to Adobe Creative Cloud at home license for that quarter.

Course schedulers add the attribute ‘ADOB’ to the class.

Upgrade Office 2016

  • Information Services is recommending that all staff and faculty upgrade (now) from Office 2016 to Office 365. The university is migrating to Exchange Online, and upgrading from Office 2016 will avoid potential email issues. This is particularly important for staff and faculty on personal (non-work) computers.
  • Instructions on how to upgrade can be found here.
  • Upgrading may impact the functionality of certain Outlook add-ins. Staff and faculty can inform Information Services about compatibility requests here. (Select Infrastructure from the dropdown. Write :send to Exchange Team" in the description)

Flex Fridays: July, August, and September

Flex Fridays

Flex Fridays are an opportunity for faculty and staff to experiment with the new technologies in the Trimodal classrooms. These sessions will run Fridays from 10AM to Noon and 2PM to 4PM in DPC 5901 (we are normally done in the first hour, but the extra time is scheduled for additional practice). Faculty and staff can come to the classroom and physically test out the equipment or remotely connect via Zoom and see what the experience is like for remote students and guest presenters (physically visiting the classroom and testing and practicing is highly recommended). Investing time now will pay dividends later in the year. Faculty and staff can attend multiple sessions – they just need to register here:
