Copying D2L Courses For Others

Occasionally, College of Business faculty have a need to copy content from a D2L course that other faculty have developed. There are two ways to efficiently copy course content in these situations:

1. The course owner uses the “Add User to Course in D2L” form to add the other faculty as a “Course Copier” via “Role on course.” The other faculty should then be able to copy the D2L course normally. This gives users only access to copy the course, nothing else. It’s also an invisible role so they don’t show up in the classlist.
2. The course requester uses the “Copy D2L Course Content” form and adds the name of the course owner in the “Additional People to Copy on this Request” section. The course owner will then approve the request.
