We will travel to Jacksonville two weekends and meet at the Loop Campus on the first Saturday (Week One) and the last Saturday (Week Nine) of the course. Class contact and discussions will be continual through the use of BlackBoard conferencing. Travel to Jacksonville, about 200 miles south and west of Chicago, thirty miles directly west of Springfield, will occur on the third and seventh weeks of the course. This is about a four hour trip by car or you can also take Amtrak to Springfield and local transportation from Springfield to Jacksonville will be arranged at no additional cost. The cost of the travel and overnight accommodations will be at the student's expense.
Students make their own travel and accommodations arrangements. I recommend that you travel together and share lodging to conserve costs and that you make reservations early in order to be sure you have a place to stay.
