Evidence of learning will be submitted in a portfolio. Every student selects four (4) of the following activities:
Interview two persons about the theme you choose for your portfolio working from a structured interview document that is developed and approved in advance of the interview. Analyze two or three aspects of your inquiry balancing all sides of the issues. Create or gather drawings, photographs, and/or artifacts that you put together in a scrapbook with narrative about their connections to the topic. Offer justice alternatives to oppression that change and/or reclaim outcomes from the perspectives of who benefit and who doesn't from the alternatives proposed. Prepare a video or an audio tape that develops/explains the learning pursuit, its perspectives, and its effects. Prepare a Web site that articulates the findings of the research. A different option than the ones outlined here that you want to develop as evidence of competence.
While a portfolio will be submitted by all students, parts of the work may presented orally, on the Internet, through video production, and/or other graphical formats as you choose.
