Announcements:

• FINAL: Section 801: Tue, Mar 16^th at 5:45pm; Section 501: Wed, Mar 17^th at 11:45am.
• Quiz #4 will be on Confidence Intervals (p), Sample Size Determination (p), and Hypothesis Testing (p) as well as Correlation and Simple Linear Regression (Theorem 1a only). Work set #1, set #2, and set #3 for practice on polling problems and set #1, and set #2 for practice on regression problems.
• Reminder: Project #2 will not be accepted after 5:45pm on Tue, 3/9. Note that this deadline applies to both Section 501 and Section 801.
• Project #3 is available. See the Programming/Analysis Projects page for details.
• Problem set #3 will be discussed in class on Tue, 3/2 (Section 801) and Wed, 3/3 (Section 501). You will need to review the Polling Problem lecture notes (i.e. Sampling Distribution, Confidence Intervals, Sample Size Determination , and Hypothesis Testing).
• Note: Section 501 Monday, 2/23 class cancellation.
• Quiz #3 will be on SAS. Section 501: Wed, 2/25. Section 801: Tue, 2/24.
• Note: My grader is ill and so graded Midterms will not be returned on 2/17 and 2/18 as promised. My grader hopes to be able to complete them by Fri, 2/20 so, if you are anxious to know your score before next week, please send me email on, or after, Fri, 2/20. Sincerest apologies from my grader and myself.

• MIDTERM - Section 801: Tue, Feb 10^th; Section 501: Wed, Feb 11^th (review tips).
• Problem set #2 will be discussed at the start of class on Mon, 2/2 (Section 501) and Tue, 2/4 (Section 801). You will need to review the Sampling Distributions and the Confidence Intervals (make sure to read the Terminology section) lecture notes.
• Reminder: Lab/bootcamp sessions (optional) for Project #1 have been scheduled for Mon, 1/26 @ 6:00pm-7:30pm (location - Lewis 1308) and Fri, 1/30 @ 11:30am-12:30pm (location - Lewis 1308).
• Quiz #2 will be on the Normal Distribution and the Student t Distribution only. Review the practice problems for Problem Set #1 (see below) as well as Student t problem sets #1 and #2 for practice. Section 501: Wed, 1/28. Section 801: Tue, 1/27.
