Getting a SAS License - Spring 2003-2004
SAS licenses have been assigned to the students on
this
list.
For some students I either spoke to you in class or
sent you email (contact me if you are uncertain).
Remember that only
students who demonstrated a need for SAS at home have been
issued
licenses.
If you have been selected, then
you will need to do the following:
- The SAS License and discs
will be distributed at the Lincoln Park and Loop ID Card Services
offices. Go to the
campus that is most convenient to you no sooner
than Thursday, 4/8.
- You will need a signed copy of the Student Use Agreement
mentioned in class. It is
available for download.
- Be prepared to pay $5.00 from your Demon Express account.
The $5.00 covers the CD duplication service.
- Once you have paid the $5.00 fee, and submitted the signed
Student Use Agreement, you will be given a packet that
contains three (3) SAS discs and installation instructions.
Notes:
- If you have any problems with the installation, contact the
Software Consultant (Diane Tarkowski) at:
Do not contact the ID Card Services staff.
They will not be able to answer questions
about software installation.
- If SAS does not accept the SETINIT.SAS information
(as may happen with some MSWindows installations), please contact
the Software Consultant (see above).
- If the discs are unusable for some reason, contact me.
Note that these discs were burned at a professional facility
and are in jewel cases so you should not have any problems.
