Again, my apologies for the cancellation of class on Monday, 2/23. Hopefully you received the email that indicated that class would be cancelled and did not discover the cancellation when you arrived at CTI. Below is what I propose to make up the lost time. Remember that this applies to section 501 only. 1. Quiz #5 that is scheduled for week 10 will be a take home quiz instead of an in-class quiz. This will save the 35-45 minutes that a quiz typically consumes. 2. For Project #2, question 2. b. i. will now state: Address the normality issue. That is, is do you need to establish normality in order to address your primary hypotheses? Justify your answer. Extra Credit: If you think normality must be established, show how you may use SAS to do this without assuming normality. That is, state and address the normality hypotheses and then use SAS to determine the normality p-value. Note that if you think normality must be established, you may assume normality without showing how SAS would be used to establish normality. We will defer discussion of how SAS may be used to assess normality to a few brief comments when I return the graded projects. Deferring this discussion until then will save an additional 20 minutes of class time The remaining time will be made up on week 10 before the Final tutorial.
