Announcements:

• FINAL: Section 101: Fri, Nov 22^nd at 2:45pm; Section 401: Tue, Nov 26^th at 8:45am.
• Quiz #7 will be on Correlation and Simple Linear Regression (Theorem 1a only). Work problem set #1 and #2. Section 101: Wed, 11/13, Section 401: Thu, 11/14.
• Note: Late submissions for Project #2 will not be accepted after start of class on Wed, 11/13 (101) or Thu, 11/14 (401).
• Reminder: We will have an in-class lab session after Quiz #7. It is optional and is intended for students who would like extra help getting started on the program.
• Project #3 is now available. See the Assignments page.
• Quiz #6 will be on Sample Size Determination (p) and Hypothesis Testing (p). Work these problems as well as these problems for practice. Section 101: Wed, 11/6, Section 401: Thu, 11/7.
• Quiz #5 will be on Hypothesis Testing (m_y). Work problem set #1, set #2, extras and sample quiz (with solutions) for practice. Section 101: Wed, 10/30, Section 401: Thu, 10/31.
• Project #2 is now available. See the Assignments page.
• Quiz #4 will be on SAS. See the SAS Review for details. Also, review the SAS handouts distributed in class. Section 101: Wed, 10/23, Section 401: Thu, 10/24.
• Reminder: The final day to submit Project #1 will be Mon, 10/21 (Section 101) and Tue, 10/22 (Section 401).
• Section 401: Extra credit solved.
• Section 401: Class on Thursday, 10/17 is at 11:50am - 1:20pm as scheduled. The topic will be Hypothesis Testing.
• NO quiz on Wed, 10/16 or Thu, 10/17. The next quiz will be Quiz #4 (Section 101; Wed, 10/23, Section 401; Thu, 10/24). It will be on SAS. See the SAS Review.
• MIDTERM - Section 101: Wed, Oct 9^th; Section 401: Thu, Oct 10^th (review tips).
• Reminder: The second half of class on Mon, 10/7 and Tue, 10/8 will be a tutorial. Remember that the tutorial is optional and is intended for students who would like extra help preparing for the exam.
• Quiz #3 will be on the Student t Distribution and Sampling Distribution theory (to be discussed in class on Mon, 9/30 & Tue, 10/1). Work Student t problem sets #1 and #2 and Sampling distribution Mean (n large) and Mean (n small) problems for practice. Section 101: Wed, 10/2; Section 401: Thu, 10/3.
• Reminder: Lab/bootcamp sessions (optional) for Project #1 will be held on Wed, 10/2 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm in room SAC 240 (LPC) and on Fri, 10/4 @ 11:00am-noon in room Lewis 1308 (Loop).
• Reminder: Project #1 (see this link) is due on 10/9 (101) and 10/10 (401).
• Quiz #2 will also be on the Normal Distribution. The quiz will cover the Standard Normal distribution, Transformation Rule, and Percentile problems. Try these lookup, transformation, and percentile #1, #2 practice problems. Section 101: Wed, 9/25; Section 401: Thu, 9/26.
• Quiz #1 will only cover Properties of the Normal Distribution. You will need to know how to solve these basic problems. Section 101: Wed, 9/18; Section 401: Thu, 9/19.
• If your name is on this list then you have been granted a SAS license. Please follow these instructions to collect the software. Remember that the software will not be available until Fri, 9/20.
