Book: Rule The Web

I went on a book-buying binge last week and now find myself in the pleasant dilemma of deciding what to read next. This morning I started reading Rule The Web by Mark Frauenfelder. Mark Frauenfelder is one of the founders of Boing-Boing, said to be one of the most popular blogs. Reading Boing-Boing is part of my daily routine so I decided to buy the book.

Rule The Web is a compendium of tips on advice on how to use the Web. A book to flick through and keep near your computer. I must admit that so far I have not come across much in the way of advice that is new to me but the writing is fun and engaging. However, the tips that I was not aware of are extremely useful and worth the price of admission.

My only major complaint about the book is the quality of the construction. The paper and binding feels very cheap. Already my book is starting to look a little dog-eared and scruffy.

The book has a companion site with updates and corrections.
