corrections based on minimal marking feedback.
- Collect polished, hand-corrected final drafts of Essay #1
- Start working on Essay #2 by explaining a short writing assignment and giving students 30 minutes to write it. (This is a mini-version of Essay #2)
- Collect short assignments
- Give students grammar exercises to work on for 45 minutes
- While students do grammar, skim short writing assignments and make a few notes on those that need direction
- Discuss and correct grammar exercises (45 minutes)
- Discuss strengths and areas to strengthen for short writing assignments and return them
- Discuss Essay #2
- Assign first draft of Essay #2 for homework
- Have students type and polish short writing assignment
