On April 13, 1999, Pride DePaul staged our 2nd Annual Queer Kiss IN. The event, like last year, has gotten people talking. Front page pictures in the DePaulia and the Windy City Times have highlighted Pride's efforts to show straight and gay alike that public displays of same sex affection are normal. The 1st Annual Queer Kiss IN sparked a debate in the editorial section of the DePaulia in the spring of 1998. The debate focused on the appropriateness of lesbigaytrans issues being discussed at a Catholic institution such as DePaul. The links below feature some of the editorials from that debate.

You can also access a larger version of the Windy City Times and DePaulia front page pictures by clicking here.

Homosexuality Violates Catholicism, James Rowe
Wrongly Using Biblical Text, J. Albert Harrill

In addition, two pro-gay editorials were written by Geoff Hoagland and Reverend James Halstead. We are trying to find copies of them for this site (the DePaulia site does not have them up).
