Established in the 1960’s, the Illinois Economics Association is a professional organization dedicated to the promotion of high quality research and teaching in Economics. Its membership includes economists from colleges and universities, the business community and government throughout the State of Illinois. The Illinois Economics Association holds an annual meeting, at which scholarly papers are presented and discussed.
Session topics include: microeconomics, macroeconomics, health economics, public economics, labor economics, law and economics, international economics, financial economics, economic history, history of economic thought, economic development, urban economics, economic education, monetary economics, and various others
