HCI 201 Multimedia and the World Wide Web

Fall 1999 - Section 703 - Giving & Getting Feedback

What is Feedback ?
Feedback is information given about the result of a process. In our case, feedback is the information we will each give to a person about the Web site he or she has developed.

The ability to give timely, appropriate feedback is a valuable skill that is worth developing for every aspect of your life. You will be seen as a valuable part of any team if you are able to give and accept feedback skillfully.

Mutual Respect
Feedback is most effective when all parties have respect for each other and their work.

Giving Feedback

You can boost your credibility and make your feedback easier to accept if you focus on strengths and areas for improvement and not weaknesses of the product you are reviewing. Your feedback should be focused on helping the recipient improve the product.

Concentrate on making your feedback...

Accepting Feedback

Accepting feedback is the other side of the coin. It is very important to the improvement of YOUR product.
