Format
The midterm exam will be on Wednesday, 5/2. Review the lecture notes and in particular the material required for Quiz #1, #2, and #3. Also, see the readings below.
The midterm exam will be comprehensive. Sixty minutes will be allocated but it is possible to complete all questions in about forty five minutes. The exam will be divided into two sections.
This section will be similar to our quizzes. The main difference will be that the tables provided in the Tips section of Quiz #2 and Quiz #3 will not be provided. That is, the hexadecimal table will not be provided and the excess notation table will not be provided.
This section will involve writing short descriptions of terminology from the readings. You should be familiar with all terms, and phrases, presented in bold letters. In particular, you should be able to write short descriptions of the terms and phrases in this list. You should also be prepared to write a few sentences comparing related concepts from the list.
