Composer/Title Searching

Use one of the following strategies:

In a Keyword Anywhere search in ILLINET Online, enter the composer's last name and words from the title.

Type of Title	Enter:	Examples
Genre or form (e.g., sonatas, symphonies, concertos	The genre name in its plural form (e.g., sonatas, symphonies, concertos) as well as other information	beethoven symphonies 5 c minor mozart piano concertos a minor k 488 haydn piano sonatas
Distinctive (e.g., Magic Flute)	The original-language title. If unsure of the original-language title, enter what you know of the title or consult a reference work such as The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.	mozart nozze di figaro [instead of marriage of figaro] stravinsky vesna sviashchennaia [instead of rite of spring] schubert gretchen spinnrade

Perform a Browse Author search, entering the composer's last name first, followed by the rest of the name. Then browse the list of titles connected with that composer name. If there is a long list, cut and paste the composer's complete name and dates into a new search box and add a beginning letter or word of a title. For example: Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus, 1756-1791 symphonies.
