Last day to turn in applications for the 2010-2011 academic year is June 1st!!!

Undergraduate Requirements for Psi Chi

  1. Must be enrolled as a student at DePaul University
  2. Must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.25
  3. Must have a minimum psychology GPA of 3.50
  4. Must be at least a second-semester sophomore
  5. Must be enrolled as a major or minor in a psychology program
  6. Must have completed at least 14 (3.5 classes) quarter hours of psychology courses at DePaul University

Graduate Requirements for Psi Chi

  1. Must be enrolled as a student at DePaul University in a psychology graduate program
  2. Must have a minimum psychology GPA of 3.50

Transfer Student Requirements for Psi Chi

Students who have transferred to DePaul must meet the requirements listed above, plus complete one quarter (at DPU) to establish a GPA and complete 3 psychology courses at DPU.


Application Instructions for Psi Chi

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis Autumn Quarter through Spring Quarter. However, in order to participate in the induction ceremony at the end of Spring Quarter, you must turn in your application by April 4th. Applicants who turn in their application after April 4th will only be allowed to participate in the induction ceremony the following academic year in Spring Quarter. We do not accept applications in the Summer Quarter.

Applications

Applications are located next to our bulletin board on the 4th floor. You may also download, save and print them from the following links: The Cover Letter, Psi Chi Application - Form; and the Psi Chi Application - Registration Card.

Applications are processed once per quarter, applicants will be notified on acceptance into Psi Chi at the end of the quarter in which they turned in their application.

Fees

The one-time application fee is $55.00.

Procedures

  1. Complete the application (make sure to calculate your psychology GPA!)
  2. Complete the top and bottom of the registration form
  3. Make $55.00* check payable to "DePaul University"
  4. Include a complete copy of your course history report
  5. Write your full name and student ID on the memo of the check
  6. Submit all materials to the Byrne Hall 420 in one envelope
  7. Attend the next meeting to make your membership official

*If you would like graduation cords, and you are graduating this year, please add $12.00.
