There are five(5) assignments. The details of each assignment will be found on the page link below, together with information about the deliverables.Examinations: examinations will be administered using Desire2Learn (https://d2l.depaul.edu/. See important information about Taking Quizzes on-line.
- Assignment 1 (Due January 18) Projects and failure – perform a case study on the FBI's Virtual Case File and its failure.
- Assignment 2 (Due January 25 Iterative/Evolutionary Process and Project Management Integration – how to adapt project management to an Iterative/Evolutionary SDLC
- Assignment 3 (Due February 8) Planning and scheduling – Plan and schedule a small software development project, given a WBS
- Assignment 4 (Due February 22 Risk management – audit a project and propose a risk management plan
- Assignment 5 (Due March 8) Execution, monitoring and control questions.
- Journal (Due March 15) Reading Journal (aka blog)
- Team Project (Due March 15) Develop a project plan for the Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project. A Project Plan template is available as <http://condor.depaul.edu/dmumaugh/se477/handouts/ProjectPlanTemplate.doc>
Midterm Exam: February 3 – February 7
Final Exam: March 10 – March 16
Submission Requirements:
- Unless prior arrangements are made with the instructor, late assignments will not be accepted.
- All assignments must be submitted electronically through Desire2Learn (D2L) and are due by 11:59 PM CT on the due date.
- The documents may be in Microsoft Word format, HTML (.html), or Adobe PDF. Project files can be in MS Project, XML or ProjectLibre format.
- Documents should be singled spaced.
- Any included figures must be embedded directly within the document, not bundled separately. Since D2L does not combine files, your submission must be a single file; Except for the submissions with a Project file. In this case, the files must be bundled in a single ZIP format.
