Course Description
An introduction to the Internet, the World Wide Web, and web development for students with a strong interest in technology. Students will create interactive web pages by writing HTML and CSS and by programming in JavaScript. Topics include the origins of the web, the roles and operations of web browsers and web servers, and using style sheets to separate document structure and document formatting.Prerequisite

Lab Work
You will be required to hand in all of the labs. You can get as much help from me or your classmates on the labs. You will have plenty of time to complete the labs. Failure to attend class or labs does not exempt you from turning in labs. The labs are an important part of the course. If you miss a class or lab, it is your responsibility to make up the work. There will be 3 or 4 lab checks throughout the quarter. I will announce which labs I am checking and the date and time those labs are due. The first lab check will be around the 2nd or 3rd week. I will not accept any late labs.
HomeWork
Homework will be assigned after class. The due date for each assignment will appear at the top of the assignment. You must due your own homework. Homework is NOT a group effort. Please see plagiarism section below.
I will accept late assignments with penalty up to and including 5 days from the due date(weekends included). A 5% penalty per day will be applied. I will not accept assignments more than 5 days late.
Final Project
The final project will involve designing a 5 - 7 page website centered around you, a hobby or an activity you are involved with. Details later. You must do your own project. The Final project is NOT a group effort.
No late projects will be accepted
Submitting Work
All course work (labs, homeworks and projects) must be submitted to your students account and the link to your work submitted through the COL system. If you do not upload your work to your students account and submit to me the link to your files you will not receive any credit.

Incomplete:
An incomplete grade is given only for an exceptional reason such as a death in the family, a serious illness, etc. Any such reason must be documented. Any incomplete request must be made at least two weeks before the final, and approved by the Dean of the School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems. Any consequences resulting from a poor grade for the course will not be considered as valid reasons for such a request.
