Class Sessions

This class has been designed to be a hands on class. All of the class meetings will be held in the lab. Most of the sessions will involve working on lab exercises with short lectures mixed in. Be prepared to work when attending class. You will be required to turn in all of these lab exercises.

Lab Work

You will be required to hand in all of the labs. You can get as much help from me or your classmates on the labs. There will be plenty of time to work on the labs. Failure to attend class or labs does not exempt you from turning in labs. If you miss a class or lab, it is your responsibility to make up the work. The labs are an important part of the course. There will be 4 lab checks throughout the quarter. I will announce which labs I am checking and the date and time those labs are due. I will not accept any late labs. The first lab check will be around the 3rd or 4th week.

HomeWork

There will be 3 homework assignments. Homework will be assigned after class and available at the course homepage. The due date for each assignment will appear at the top of the assignment. You must do your own homework. Homework is NOT a group effort. Please see plagiarism section below.

I will accept late assignments with penalty up to and including 5 days from the due date(weekends included). A 5% penalty per day will be applied. I will not accept assignments more than 5 days late.

Midterm Project

The midterm project will involve designing a 5 - 7 page website centered around you, a hobby or an activity you are involved with. Details later. The midterm project will be due around the 6th or 7th week. You must do your own project. The midterm project is NOT a group effort

I will accept late projects with penalty up to and including 5 days from the due date(weekends included). A 5% penalty per day will be applied. I will not accept projects more than 5 days late.
