A personal and or hobby web site. At least 5 web pages no more than 7, that includes the homepage. Each page of your site, and the site as a whole must conform to the following design guidelines.

Spend allot of time surfing the web and look at similar sites. Save the links, write down ideas. Allot of time 5,10,15 hrs. Don't worry about other sites layout, fancy graphics, you are looking for ideas pertaining to content. Do not copy text from other sites. Talk to friends, classmates, teachers etc.. about content. Put some time into this and enjoy.
Requirements:
- All files must be submitted to your project directory at your students account.
- The homepage must be index.html
- Each page of your site must have the same header at the top.
- The homepage and each page of your site must contain the main navigation links.
- The main navigation links must be located in the same place for each page of your site.
- Each navigation link must take the user to a page in your website written by you coded with HTML.
- Recommendation: use the template and stylesheet worked out in lab
- Change the logo and some of the styles to reflect your site.
- You do not have to have your picture in the logo.
- Your website must use at least 5 images in total. Watch the file size try to keep them not much higher than 100k. This is strictly to preserve space. You will not be penalized for large file sizes.
- Do not use HTML attributes

to resize images, use image editing software (photofiltre, photoshop). - Your web site must conform to the above design guidelines. Note if you break any of them you must have a good reason to do so. For example, if you use some animated gif's on one of your pages and it is justifiable then you are okay.
- Your web site cannot be a copy of an existing web site, even if you designed it or helped design it.
- You can take images from existing web sites provided they do not have copyright restrictions. Be courteous and link to their site
- The subject of your Hobby Website cannot be R or X-rated.
- When you login you should see your domain name. It should look something like this:
XXX.comlu.com where XXX is the name you picked. - Note:

maybe something else. - Provided you have been following instructions, the URL to your homework file should look something like this.
- Login into the Course Online system and select assignments. Look for hw3 then click submit.
- Copy the URL and paste the URL into the comment box.
- Submit the URL to your homework by copying the URL into the comment box.
- Also, type the URL into the browser to view your work online.

Grading Breakdown:
- 40% for functionality,(if you use my template then this part is almost done). Functional means that I can click to each of your webpages. Also if you add other links they are not broken.
- 30% for content.
- 20% for conforming to the above design guidelines.
- 10% for originality /creativity
Tips
- Start right away
- Get your index page up. You should of done this in lab.
- Next, get that to link to each of your pages. Once this is done you are half way there, then you can spend the rest of the time adding and organizing the content.
