Guidelines


  1. Completed papers must be received for review by Monday, October 15, 2007.
  2. Detailed abstracts must be received for review by Thursday, November 1, 2007.
  3. The name(s) and address(es) must be on a detachable front page. The rest of the manuscript must not contain any reference to the authors.
  4. Each paper will be double blind refereed.
  5. Papers should not have been presented elsewhere before the 2008 MBAA Chicago conference or be under consideration by other conferences or journals.
  6. Only full length final papers (no abstracts) submitted by the October 15 deadline will be considered for the IS/QM Distinguished Paper.
  7. A letter of transmittal must be included containing the following for each author: (a) position, (b) affiliation, (c) mailing address, (d) telephone number(s)-office, home, and (e) FAX and e-mail if available.
  8. Upon acceptance, the author (or at least one co-author) must pre-register for the Society for the Advancement of Information Systems / Quantitative Methods Track at the MBAA Conference in March 2008. At least one author is expected to attend the conference and make a presentation of the paper.

Distinguished Paper Award


Of all the papers submitted for presentation at the conference each year, one meritorious paper is selected as the recipient of the Distinguished Paper Award in Information Systems / Quantitative Methods. Each author of this paper is formally honored at the annual Midwest Business Administration Association meeting, and awarded a plaque commemorating his or her achievement. Notification of Acceptance


Notification of acceptance of papers for the MBAA March Conference will be made by December 1, 2007. Final paper for the Information Systems/ Quantitative Methods Proceedings must be received by January 7, 2008. Guidelines for the Proceedings final version will be sent with acceptance notification. General guidelines include: Camera-ready hard copy and a diskette copy (IBM Compatible).
