General notes:

I'm a planetary scientist (Solar System astronomy; an odd combination of astronomy, physics, chemistry, geology, meteorology/atmospheres, and occasionally biology and paleontology) working as an independent consultant, primarily in science education. My research interests are comets and asteroids, and my favorite tool is ultraviolet spectroscopy. I rather enjoy the rest of the Solar System, and the Universe beyond, as well as interdisciplinary studies and metapatterns.

I work in:

• The Space Sciences Center for Education and Outreach at DePaul University; it's part of the NASA Office of Space Science's "ecosystem" -- specifically, the Broker/Facilitator Program for education and outreach.
• The Department of Physics (teaching astronomy - see description of the Winter and Spring Physics 114 course.)
