By the end of this course you should:

Be able to develop a sophisticated web-based application using
Java APIs such as Servlets, JSPs, and JDBC

Have a good understanding of the Java Specifications for the APIs
we study and know where to go to learn whatever you don't already
understand

Be able to do simple administration of Tomcat, and understand the
principles of administration for J2EE containers in general.

Understand and be able to apply J2EE design patterns.
