first-year scores. Consider the following statistics:
                    LSAT: mean=165; SD=5
              first year: mean=65; SD=10; r=0.6
The admissions officer wants to predict first-year scores from LSAT
scores. 

Determine the standard deviation about the regression line (i.e Sy|x).


Solution:

Since the intention is to predict first-year scores from LSAT scores
then first-year scores will be on the y-axis. Hence: 
              Sy|x = Sy(sqrt(1-r^2)
                   = 10(sqrt(1-0.6^2)
                   = 8
