In addition, students should obtain a basic reference work or manual of style for preparing written reports. Copies of the guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) have been ordered at the bookstore. Kate Turabian's Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, or the University of Chicago Press's Manual of Style are also excellent resources. It does not matter which reference manual students choose to use, as long as it is a recognized work and is used consistently.

Other references will be gathered by students as they complete a collaborative annotated bibliography. This bibliography will be supplemented by references from the instructor.
