Access Forms

 

Note:   This activity is just for practice, so not to be submitted.

Goal:

  1. In the dialog with caption RealEstate: Database (Access 2000 File Format), select the Forms button from the Objects buttons on the left >> Select create form by using wizard.

  2. On Page 1 of the Form Wizard:

  7. Right click in the title bar of the Listings Form >> Form Design.

  8. Right click in the title bar of the Form Design >> Properties >> Select Form in the combo box near the top of the Properties Dialog.

  9. Set these properties for the main form:

  10. Now rearrange the labels and textboxes on the forms in an attractive format. Resize the textboxes to match the contents of the textboxes.

  11. Close the form and save it.

  12. Now you can open the Rooms subform. (Make sure you are in Design view)

  13. Right click on the titlebar of the form >> Properties >> Select Form in the combo box near the top of the Properties Dialog.

  14. Set these properties for the subform:

  15. You can change the properties of individual labels and textboxes by right clicking on that object, selecting Properties and changing the property. Consider changing properties like Font Name, Font Size, Back Color, Border Color or Fore Color.

  16. Close the form >> Respond Yes to the question in the Save Dialog: Save changes to the following objects: Form: Listings, Form: Rooms Subform.

  17. Open the subform to rearrange the labels and textboxes on that form.
