- The first class meeting of HCI201, section 301, is on Tu, Mar 29,
11:20 to 12:50pm in STDCT 363 (LPC).
- For saving your homework assignments and projects, it would be very
convienent if you owned a memory stick (128meg, 256meg, etc).
- Important: Make sure you have two accounts active
- Your account on students.depaul.edu: Go to ID Services to apply for your student computer account if you have not already done so. The account is also used for student email. Click on Personal Sites for Students for more infromation.
- Activate your CDM account. Login with your
CampusConnect username/password. This page will provide you with your CDM username/password.
(You will not be able to use the computers in our classroom without this account active.)
- We will be making frequent use of the SSH software to upload files to your website. It's
installed on all computers in DePaul labs. If you would like a free copy of this program for
your home PC, go to
Labs and
Resourses. Scroll down, and under Software, click on Windows Client.
- The Help Desk
- The number of the Technology Help Desk is 312-362-8765.
- The Technology Help desk can reset your account if you get locked out
of SSH after trying to log in with the incorrect password three times (or
for any other reason). - Tell the operator that you are locked out of your students.depaul.edu
account, that you can't log into it using SSH and that you need the account reset.
- Make sure that your MS File Explorer is set to show file extensions.
- Invoke MS File Explorer by: Start | All Programs | Accessories | Windows Explorer.
- From MS File Explorer: Tools | Folder Options... Select the View tab and uncheck the box for "Hide extensions for known file types."
