Literature Searches & Tax Research

People using campus computers, or off-campus computers connected through DePaul Online, can use a number of the library's excellent computerized research collections. A good place to start looking for these "databases" is THE DePAUL UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES - Databases. At this screen you will see the following possibilities which can be used by simply making a few obvious clicks (start by clicking on the appropriate letter):

ABI Inform: A collection of over 800,000 citations from 1,000 publications

Academic Universe: LEXIS-NEXIS access to a wide range of news, business, legal, and reference information

Business and Company ASAP: Articles in professional and academic business journals

CCH Internet Tax Research Network: A federal tax research tool.

LegalTrac: Articles, regulations, statutes and case studies related to law & taxation,

Newspaper Abstracts: Abstracts from 25 major U.S. newspapers.

These collections can be searched by subject, key words, journal, author, case citations, etc. The full text, partial text, or abstract of these items can frequently be downloaded.
