Original SuperBlock
The original SuperBlock at the 800 block of North
Hardinghas recieved city and national regonitions as a block that has managed
to turn itself around. A little over three yearsago, the 800 block of North
Harding was crime ridden. There were abandoned and rub-down buildings,
drug peddlers openly sold their wareock was crime ridden. Litter and garbage
filled the alleys and streets. But community residents in cooperation with
community based organizations, local goverment agenicies, and volunteers
worked together to change the face of the block.
