LAB NEWS:

-2016/17:

-April 29, 2017: Franklin Joaquin presented a poster on his work on stickleback in Lake Michigan at CAURS (Chicago Area Undergraduate Research Symposium).

-April 2017: Congratulations to Kirby Karpan for being awarded a Summer internsip position at the Field Museum and Tasha Wierzal for her Summer internsip at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Should make for an eventful Summer.

-March 18-19, 2017: Franklin Joaquin and Melina Kanji presented at the Midwestern Ecology and Evolution Conference (MEEC) at Urbana-Champaign.

-March 16, 2017: Sara Alharbi, Roberto Cucalon, Joe Forberg, and the rest of the first year graduate students presented their M.S. thesis proposals to the Department. Congratulations for a job well done!

-February 17, 2017: Another succesful Darwin Day at DePaul! Thanks to Dr. Lydia Hopper from the Linocln Park Zoo for being our invited speaker and giving a wonderful talk on cultural evolution.

-January 6, 2017: We had our first lab meeting of 2017 this Friday. All seven undergrads and three grad students showed up and we forgot to take a picture! At least the pizza was very good.

-December 12, 2016: Two new grad students have joined the lab: Joe Forberg and Sara Alharbi. Good luck Joe and Sara. We are officially full for the rest of the academic year.

-November 4, 2016: Six members of our lab presented at the DePaul Science Showcase. Three on research conducted in the lab and three on research from their Summer Internships. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!

-September 16, 2016: First lab meeting of the quarter. Roberto Cucalon, a new grad student from Guayaquil, Ecuador, and Tasha Wierzal and Aerin Nilsen, new undergraduate research assistants, have joined the lab. Here's hoping for a productive academic year!
