Academic Background
I am currently an Associate Professor in the College of Communication at DePaul University. I received my B.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder and my M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara.


Teaching Interests
I currently teach graduate and undergraduate courses on close relationships, attachment, evolution and communication, deceptive communication, introduction to human communication, research methods, interpersonal communication, communication theory, intergroup behavior, and quantitative reasoning.


Research Interests
My current research interests are in the area attachment, betrayal and rebuilding trust – Broken Trust: Overcoming an Intimate Betrayal.
