LaBoure House

If you want to have fun, meet new people, and do something that will change a person's life then LaBoure House is the place for you. LaBoure House is an intergenerational house where the elderly and DePaul students live together in community. Every Wednesday we go to social with the seniors who resider there. Its always a new experience because the seniors are just big kids at heart. We shoot pool, play clue, checkers, watch youtube videos, and listen to tunes with them all while building close relationshps with other members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the seniors themselves. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and when it is time to leave we return to campus to have a short reflection upon the night's service.

St. Pauls House

Where: Meet on the 3rd floor of the LP Student Center

"Bingo!" yelled Dortothy, a resident at St. Paul's Rehabilitation Center. thats rights ladies and gentlemen, every Thursday night the St. Vincent de Paul Society meets to play games such as bingo at St. Paul's. People like Dorothy look forward to our visit every week so that they can enjoy our company and engage in fun activities with us. Jong Gogolak, a member of the SVDPS, once said "Our work at St. Paul's allows us to connect with a completely different generation; the stories we hear and the laughts we have are invaluable".
