More about CLS

• Not all languages will be able to take advantage of all aspects of the CLR and CTS. And there are some peculiar restrictions, like case-sensitivity, being able to use the same name for both a class and a method, etc.

• The CLS defines a subset of the CTS (for example, unsigned integer types are not supported), and other rules that help ensure language interoperability.

• Here are some CTR datatypes. The ones supported by the CLS are indicated.

• CLS-compliance is external. As long as the publicly visible stuff is CLS-compliant, it doesn't matter if internal, private stuff is not. Specifically, the following should be CLS-compliant:
  Definitions of public classes

  Definitions of public members of public classes, and of members accessible to derived classes

  Parameters and return types of public methods of public classes, and of methods accessible to derived classes.
