Correlation and Scatterplots

• Download the Used Cars Dataset. Then open it using SPSS. Use SPSS to do the following:
  1. Make sure, using the Variables View, that all three variables are set to Measure type Scale (not Nominal, or Ordinal).

  2. Give labels to the three variables.

  3. Use SPSS to find the pairwise correlations of the three variables.

  4. *Interpret the correlations.

  5. Create three scatterplots: (a) Miles vs. Year, (b) Price vs. Miles, (c) Price vs. Year. Are the scatterplots consistant with the correlations?
