HCI 430 -- Takehome Final
Due Date: 5/31/07
Suppose that you are a consultant writing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a
client company. You potentially will be hired to lead the prototyping
team to develop an new application for the company.
Your proposal should include, but is not limited to, the following points:
- A high-level discussion of the application your team will build.
Choose an application that is interesting to you.
- Your philosophy on the best way to organize and conduct
the prototyping process.
- A discussion of Windows vs. Web-based prototypes.
- A comparison of the various prototyping tools available, their
strengths and weaknesses and the one that you recommend.
- Why will your team be the best choice to build
the application?
Keep these points in mind:
- Although your submission is in the form of an RFP, the real reason
for submitting this report is as a take-home final to show what you
have learned in HCI430.
- The target audience for your report is the CIO or CTO of the company
that will hire you. Do not get bogged down in technical details.
- Use the textbook and online readings for ideas and as sources for
additional references.
- The usual rules for crediting sources apply:
- do not copy text verbatim without
quote marks or as block quotes for longer passages,
- use references to
indicate the source of ideas that are not your own.
