Uploading Files and Accessing Files on ectweb

1. Activate your CSTCIS account.
   • Go to the link https://accountactivate.cti.depaul.edu and follow the directions.

   • FAQs can be found at https://accountactivate.cti.depaul.edu/Documents/Activation.pdf.

   • Additional information can be obtained from http://ecthome.cs.depaul.edu.

   • Email labsupport@cti.depaul.edu if you have any issues.

2. Open an IE browser window. Internet Explorer can be used to transfer files via FTP.

3. Login to FTP by entering the following URL:
   ftp://ectweb.cs.depaul.edu
   You will be prompted to enter your username (e.g., CSTCIS\ssmith) and your password.

4. Create or download HTML, CSS or PHP files on your local PC.

5. Locate the files you wish to upload using Windows Explorer.

6. Drag and drop files from the Windows Explorer window onto the browser window that you opened in step 2.

7. Open a second IE browser window. In this new browser window, enter the URL http://ectweb.cs.depaul.edu/yourusername/yourfolder/yourfilename.htm
   to view the file.
