Goal: To find and critique a personal website

• Select a personal website of your choice, probably found by online search. Business sites are not allowed for this exercise. Write a Word or HTML document (1 to 2 pages) describing the good and bad features of the website.

• At the beginning of your document, include an absolute hyperlink to the website. If your document does not contain a link to the site I will mark it as "Resubmit" and it may receive a late penalty.

• You can find many homepages on the web by searching on "personal website" and under various topics contained in the web sitehobbies such as model trains, dolls, dogs, cats, wedding, etc. (For example: search on "Personal Website Cats".) Do not find a business site to critique.

• Refer to the course documents Some Website Usability Guidelines and Page Design Principles as well as what we discuss in class in your critique. You may also wish to refer to the online tutorial www.webstyleguide.com .

• You must discuss these web design principles or lose points in the grade: alignment, contrast, proximity, repetition.
