Biography and Research Areas
Susy Chan is a Professor and directs the Center for E-Commerce Research in the School of CDM. She was the founding director of DePaul University’s pioneering masters and baccalaureate programs in E-Commerce Technology. As a former CIO at DePaul, she developed and implemented its six-campus IT infrastructure.  Dr. Chan served as DePaul’s Vice President of Information Technology from 1993 to 1996; as Vice President for University Planning and Research from 1988-1993. She received a Ph.D. from Syracuse University.

Dr. Chan received the Spirit of Inquiry Award of DePaul University in 2004 for her research in e-business strategies and adoption, e-commerce curriculum, and mobile commerce usability.

Mobile Commerce Research Laboratory
The Mobile Commerce Research Lab that she co-leads with Dr. Xiaowen Fang studies usability and development issues concerning wireless applications. This research center emphasizes the application, adoption, and implementation of Internet and wireless technology for e-commerce and e-business.  The center also sponsors activities to enhance partnership between the corporate sector with CDM in e-commerce and related industry studies.
