WEEK TEN ASSIGNMENT: ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION Your final assignment is to analyze for yourself what you have learned, both about observation of nature and about writing, in this class. Pointers for observing: Pay your observation point a last visit. Spend your time in enjoyment of the setting and meditation upon what you have learned from it. Notice the ways in which you feel different, and the ways in which you feel the same, as when you started this process. If you wish, perform a simple ceremony or ritual of farewell to this period in that setting; feed the birds a special treat, or plant a small flower to mark your time in this special place. Pointers for writing: If you are enrolled for AL-2 or A-2-A comptence, your final essay should evaluate the work you have done in this class. Which of your nine essays do you feel is the most successful? Why? Describe the process of writing that piece. Why did you make the decisions you did, in terms of word choice, organization, content? For other competences, there is no special form for the final analysis and evaluation. You may wish to describe which exercises were most significant for you; you may wish to share difficulties that you experienced. This is an informal, ungraded essay that will not be commented upon by the instructor. Its writing will help you articulate what you have learned and will also help the instructor make this class better for future students. Thanks for participating. May the lessons that you have learned serve you well in your future.
