CSC 578 Final Project: Overview

The Final Project is an individual project. Each student may choose either a project provided by the instructor (Default Project) or a topic that they are interested in implementing or studying further (Own Project).

1. Default Project

The project is to tackle a Time-series forecasting using Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs).  It is also made into a Kaggle inClass competition (https://www.kaggle.com/t/12e81c7f46e845339c9f3d6d693713bc).  In addition to coding, an informative report will be required with appropriate, illustrative figures and tables.

2. Own Project (propose your own topic)

  • Approved ONLY for exceptional proposals -- send email to the instructor before the end of Monday, June 3.
  • Details about proposal, deliverables and evaluation
  •

ALL project deliverables are due on June 13 (Thu), 11:59 pm.  NO LATE SUBMISSION will be accepted because the university term ends that day.
