Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Data: Selective Access
A source of interactive US social and economic data. This site allows the user, through forms-based interfaces, to extract data in specific formats. Users may specify exactly what data they would like including local area unemployment statistics, consumer price indexes, and producer price indexes, among others.

National Industry-Occupation Employment Matrix
A searchable and browsable database that allows users to track the employment distribution of an occupation among industries. Data are available for both 1996 and 2006 (projection). Search or browse by industry or occupation. Results can be sorted by employment or projected (percent or numeric) change in employment.   Published by the US Department of Labor (DOL), this report explores the social impact of the new economy and the role of the "twenty-first century work-place" in America.   One stop access to statistics and information produced by more than 70 agencies in the United States Federal Government for public use. http://www.fedstats.gov

• U.S. Census Bureau
  Demographic information including statistics on poverty and income. Both decennial census information and statistics from the Current Population Survey.

• Economic Policy Institute (EPI) Datazone
  EPI, a think tank that focuses on economic issues, has recently created this data collection. Users can view "nine tables providing recently updated figures and statistics on the labor market, family income, prices, GDP, wages, poverty, trade, the budget deficit, and interest rates" in the Data Card, or browse a larger collection of historical labor market and income data in the Data Zone proper.
