Program Overview

Who Should Attend?

The leadership seminar is aimed at those working in technology and other rapidly changing fields who are transitioning into leadership positions.

Why Leadership in a Changing Economy?

Managers of organizations must develop and design methods of planned and controlled change to insure its survival in a changing external environment. The interdependent elements of people, structure, tasks and technology will be examined and related to changes in problem-solving and renewal processes of personnel in the organization.

Faculty

The Faculty

DePaul University's Management Development Center features professors from DePaul's Department of Management, who teach in conjunction with top business professionals from the Chicagoland area.

Faculty Expertise

Dr. Stuart Sidle

Stuart Sidle earned a Ph.D. and MA in Industrial/Organization Psychology from Depaul University. Stuart earned his undergraduate degrees in Communication and Psychology from The American University. Professor Sidle's primary teaching interests are in the areas of organizational behavior, change management, leadership and human resource management. He is currently engaged in scholarly activities focusing on leadership styles and job stress. He has published and presented research in the areas of leadership styles, workplace humor, gender stereotypes and job motivation. Stuart consults to a wide range of organizations in the areas of change management, training and performance evaluation.

Mr. Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen earned his BS in Management and his MS in Marketing from the University of Illinois. He has also completed Columbia University and NTL's Organization Development Program. Michael Cohen is retired from the Quaker Oats Company where he was V.P. of Human Resource Development. He currently consults in the areas of leadership, executive development, change management, conflict resolution, team building, and human resource planning. Previously, he held the positions with the Gillette Corporation and Financial Management Associates. He serves on the Board of Directors at the Center For Conflict Resolution and is a past Board member of the Midwest Human Resource Planning Society.

Cost

The Cost

The entire program must be paid for prior to the program start date, at a cost of $1,800.

Required materials are included. Tuition deferment options are no longer available.

Refunds will be granted on a pro-rated basis determined by the Management Development Center student handbook, less an administrative fee of $150.
