The Electronic Policy Network
"A network of top policy and research institutions, EPN provides timely information and leading ideas about the policies and politics that shape our world . . . . Our goal is to provide trenchant policy analysis to the general public, so that citizens, students, legislators, advocacy groups, educators, and researchers may easily keep pace with the issues that matter. Though many members of EPN describe themselves as liberal, our network is highly diverse and includes research organizations and foundations that do not articulate any explicit position on policy." EPN features discussions on urban policies relating to housing development.

Community Media Workshop
"The Community Media Workshop helps Chicago-area community and civic groups get news and feature stories about their work in the news media. CATALYST: Voices of Chicago School Reform and The Chicago Reporter
"CATALYST: Voices of Chicago School Reform is an independent newsmagazine created in 1990 to document, analyze and support school-improvement efforts in the Chicago Public Schools. It is published by the Community Renewal Society, a faith-based organization founded in 1882 that works to create racially and economically just communities in metropolitan Chicago. The Society also publishes The Chicago Reporter, an award-winning newsletter created in 1972 to investigate issues of race and poverty."

This American Life
"It's a weekly show. It's an hour. Its mission is to document everyday life in this country. We sometimes think of it as a documentary show for people who normally hate documentaries. A public radio show for people who don't necessarily care for public radio." Episodes regularly highlight the effects of urban renewal and gentrification on the urban landscape of Chicago and other American cities.
