Hot Topic: Approx 7000 people, mostly faculty and staff, will receive new barcodes during the DePaul ID Card exchange project (the bulk in late-August and September, when many faculty return to campus). The library runs weekly patron loads to update accounts. If people need to update their account sooner they should call Access Services. Desk, 2-8765, if they forget their Campus Connect ID and/or password. The
information can be given over the phone once they verify some personal
information.
Financial aid awards will be processed by the end of June and students will
receive an e-mail letting them know they can view results in Campus Connection.

Media Relations does not send out hometown news
releases (for Dean's list, graduating w/ honors etc.). They have a form they can send to parents for use in conveying info to local

Campus Copy Center
is now open on the 11th floor of the DePaul Center.
New students need Campus Connect login for
placement tests (by ARC). They should receive in a Testing Letter or

The parking deck south of the Lewis Center
is now closed. Demolition should
take 3-4 weeks. A new surface parking lot will be constructed and
remain in place until a future use for the property has been decided. Interim
parking options are available at: 1. southwest corner of VanBuren &
Wabash (former Old St. Mary's site). This site will offer the same DePaul
discounts as the parking deck south of Lewis did. 2. southwest corner of
Adams & Wabash. This parking deck also offers DePaul discounts.
Students looking to use a typewriter can be directed to either the
Fullerton branch of the CPL at 1150 W. Fullerton in Lincoln Park or to the new
Commuter Student Lounge in the DePaul Center, 11th floor in the Loop.

DePaul's head basketball coach, will
sponsor a basketball camp at the Athletic Center, for boys and girls
8-18yrs. Two one-week sessions: June 20-24 and June 27-July 1. $275/wk. Call

The Residence Hall Council sponsors a welcome kit fundraising
program that allows parents and others to send welcome kits to students in the
dorms. Interested people should call the Residence Hall Council at 5-7233.
The Naperville and O'Hare bookstores have closed.
Students can either purchase their books online at
www.depaul.edu/bookstore (orders are shipped in 3-5 business days) or call the
Lincoln Park bookstore at 773-325-7700 and arrange to pick them up in
person.
The default student Campus Connect ID is 1st
initial of first name and 7 letters of last name and the password is D
and student ID number.
Blackboard course sites remain available to students per the instructor's
preference. If a student does not want access to sites from a previous quarter,
he/she can email their instructor and request that the site is made
"unavailable" to them.

Students wondering about transferring credit from other schools will need
to meet with their College Advisor. The advisor will decide which
courses transfer and their equivalency and then inform the ARC. The same goes
for changing status to pass/fail.
The phone number for the new student mailroom is 5-4912. Students or
parents with questions about mail delivery can be directed to this number. Their
hours are M-F 10am-9pm, Sat 9am-1pm, Sun closed (unstaffed).

Early Application Program (deadline Nov. 15),
will receive a decision no later than Jan. 1st. Priority/Regular Application (deadline Feb.
1)--Applications considered on a space available basis until Aug. 15 by
rolling notification. Theatre School/School of Music (deadline Jan.
15)--notification made in late March.
IS released a new interface for Campus Connect Class Search. Note: If you are
enrolled in a program at DePaul, it will default to that "course career". The
links below each school/college offer course lists to browse for entire
departments. The link to "advanced search" takes you to the old interface. Use
this to search for specific course numbers (i.e. ENG104). You won't find Law
School courses if you select winter quarter since they are on semesters. You
must choose spring or another appropriate term at the beginning.
The
LA&S Graduate Office has moved
to 900 W. Fullerton, lower level. Their ph# has not changed. It is still 5-7315.
