A racy, satirical exposé of intellectuals and intellectual life in America. Trade non-fiction.

Tribalism: A Moral Diagnosis
Volume Two of the Cosmopolitan Trilogy

Hill continues his development of moral cosmopolitanism by analyzing the fundamental tenets on which all forms of tribalism rest. He exposes the deadly psychological mindset of the tribalist by identifying the separatist tribal logic which determines how he faces the world. The author shows as a moral conceptual thief, the tribalist attempts to achieve moral efficacy by riding on the perceived social prestige of his group.

Work in Progress

What Does It Mean to Become a Human Being? 3-2-05
Join Jeff and his guest, Jason Hill, author of Becoming a Cosmopolitan: What It Means to Be a Human Being in the New Millennium as they explore the ethical and philosophical implications of tribalism (ethnic, racial, and national) on society and what it would take to evolve to a new morality and view of the self. Hill calls it moral cosmopolitanism, rejecting tribalism in favor of an all-encompassing view of the community of humankind. Many of us have felt a deep dissatisfaction in our souls, but rather than waiting for others to create a world that we yearn for, Hill calls on us to imbue the world with the noblest of values.
