A genuinely caring, top-rated
teacher and executive mentor.

Jack H. Grossman is a Professor Emeritus at DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business where he teaches the following courses that he has developed: Discovering Wisdom and  Managing Relationships in Business

He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from Loyola University in Chicago.

In addition to teaching at DePaul, he counsels CEOs and other top managers who want to develop cooperative, wisdom-based cultures in their businesses or departments they manage. In both his teaching and consulting roles, his primary objective is to teach prospective and current managers at all levels how to gain cooperation, prevent people-related problems from occurring, and resolve problems that adversely affect the growth and profits of their organizations or departments.

Managing With Wisdom (Pelican Publishing, 1996) is Grossman's most current published book, it is his fourth. He also has more than two dozen articles in newspapers and professional journals to his credit.

During his thirty-plus years in academia, Grossman has enjoyed a reputation as a top-rated professor whose professional and personal demeanor reflect the principles he teaches. In 1994, he was the recipient of a "student choice" Distinguished Teaching Award given annually by the College of Commerce.

Here are a few representative comments from graduate students who have taken his course, Managing Relationships in Business (these comments are similar in spirit to those offered by his corporate clients).

"Of the fifteen classes I've taken during the Masters Program at DePaul, this has been the most applicable to situations I encounter both in business and in my personal life. The principles we discussed all have great relevance for me..."  "This class has made me really think about people and how I affect them more than any other course I have taken at DePaul. In other classes I have usually found myself relating the material to the business side of work. But, I don't recall ever having a class that made me take such a hard look at myself. I didn't always like what I saw, but I learned to communicate better as a manager and to be a better person. I thank you for helping me make a connection at both levels."
"...one of the most important classes offered at DePaul University...the principles and concepts I have learned are improving both my personal and professional relationships."  "This course has been a valuable series of lessons on how I can manage my relationships and my life better. I cannot help but feel that if everyone were aware of the concepts you taught me, and practiced them, we would all get along better and we would learn so much from each other."
