Cortelyou Commons

Cortelyou Commons better known as the "Commons" is Lincoln Park's special events facility. Built in 1929 it accommodated banquets, receptions, presentations, musical events, and other types of programming. It is named in honor of the Very Reverend John R. Cortelyou president of DePaul University from 1964 to 1981. Father Cortelyou was the first natural scientist named to the post, all predecessors were theologians.
