Corcoran Hall
910 West Belden Ave
Corcoran Hall is one of DePaul's residence halls. The Very Reverend Frances V. Corcoran came to Chicago in 1930 to replace Father Levan as the fifth president of DePaul University. During his
presidency (1935-1944) he worked hard to consolidate the University which had grown rapidly in the 1920's. He also refined the administration, unifying the control of college under University
Council composed of deans and officers and presided over by the president. This building, acquired by DePaul in 1976 from McCormick Theological Seminary Campus, was named and dedicated in his honor in 1976.
