Updates:
In addition to the specifications for the preview, groups with an HCI major must present a brief usability study based on the running preview. This usability study should also appear in your project booklet.
There is no requirement that your full project presentation be any different than your project preview demo. In practice there are usually small tweaks that need to be made, but do not feel that you must change a successful demo for the benefit of the class audience. Alternatively, you can give an entirely different presentation than that given at the preview (as long as you meet the presentation specifications) but keep in mind that this is riskier.
Projects must be running on this date or passing the class is at risk. This is a major constraint of this course! ALL group members are encouraged to make backup versions, standalone versions, and be prepared to take over the presentation, or the leadership of the group, should it become necessary, to bring this demo off successfully. EACH group member is entirely responsible for the successful presentation of the project. (Suppose no one else showed up on the day it is due—are you ready to step in?) Be prepared!
Presentations should be rehearsed and intentional.
Do you have backup systems for both the project and the also the presentation, ready to go live without the audience realizing a failure has occurred?
Good luck to all.
